Young Artist Scheme
“A true wonder at the piano”, “Despite his young age, he already shows extraordinary talent”, and “Highly gifted and able to touch the audience deeply” — this is how the press describes the young pianistic jewel.
Antonio Pavan was born in Treviso in 2013 into a family of musicians and began studying piano at the age of four with Anna Maria Zanetti, who continues to guide his artistic development. His exceptional talent became evident early on: by the age of five he was already performing in public and winning numerous first prizes at national and international competitions. At seven, he passed his first piano examination at the Conservatory of Rovigo with top marks, followed a year later by the Theory and Ear Training diploma, also with highest distinction.
Alongside his piano studies, Antonio is also dedicated to composition and has already written several original works. His repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary music and is marked by a refined sound culture and strong expressive depth. He performs regularly in Italy and abroad and has appeared live on Rai Uno as well as in Paris near the Eiffel Tower.
In 2024, he won First Prize at the International “Giulio Rospigliosi” Competition (open age category) as the youngest participant and made his orchestral debut with Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 414. A major milestone followed with his First Prize at the International Piano Competition “Jeune Chopin” in Lugano, where the jury was chaired by Martha Argerich. At the Winners’ Concert, he was the only participant invited to perform one of his own compositions.
