Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival 2025 – Relive the Highlights!

On 4, 6, 9, 12, and 14 September 2025, Valer Sabadus performed the role of Scipione Servilio in Francesco Cavalli’s opera "Pompeo Magno". This new production was directed by festival director Max Emanuel Cenčić, with the Cappella Mediterranea under the baton of Leonardo García-Alarcón.

The opera tells a story of love, power, betrayal, and jealousy in the style of Commedia dell’arte, set during the Venetian Carnival.
