Raphaela Gromes and Julian Riem at the Marvão International Music Festival

On 2 August 2026, Raphaela Gromes and Julian Riem performed at the Marvão International Music Festival in Portugal.

Later that evening, Raphaela Gromes joined the Hong Kong Sinfonietta under the direction of Christoph Poppen for the festival’s Farewell Gala at Marvão Castle. She performed three pieces by Pauline Viardot-Garcia — Bohémienne, Romance and Tarantelle — in orchestral arrangements by Julian Riem.
