New General Management: Soran Lind

We are delighted to announce that we have taken on the global general management of Norwegian-Iranian saxophonist Soran Lind!

With his exceptional musicality and impressive technique, Soran consistently captivates audiences and attracts a vibrant, young, and enthusiastic public.

"He has a completely unique expression. There’s a real sense of freedom in his playing. He uses the music in his own way. You can see that he’s one with the saxophone [...]. When he plays, the instrument becomes part of him."
– Mari Maurstad, Nordre Aker Budstikke

Already during his studies, he established himself as a soloist with leading orchestras as well as a chamber musician at renowned festivals and concert halls, such as: Wiener Musikverein, Brucknerhaus Linz, Merkin Hall at Kaufmann Center New York, the Grieg Hall, Oslo Concert Hall, Oslo Opera House, Stormen Concert Hall, Risør Chamber Music Festival (two seasons), Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Suena Festival Vienna, Arosa Music Festival, Oslo Opera Festival, and Drammen Arts Festival.

His solo concerts - among others with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra - have been broadcast on Norwegian Television and Radio (NRK), Danish Radio (DR), BBC Radio (Afternoon Concert), and Latvian Radio.

His debut album will be released in 2026 on LAWO Classics and features core works of the saxophone repertoire, with music by Alfred Desenclos, Florent Schmitt, and Paule Maurice, the latter enriching the album with a refreshing dimension as a female composer.

Soran is also deeply committed to contemporary music and premiered 15 new works for saxophone in the 2023/24 season. Despite his young age, Soran demonstrates an extraordinary depth and maturity in his playing. He is not only an outstanding musician but also an engaged pedagogue who enjoys giving masterclasses.
