Mojca Lavrenčič Conducts at the Gala Concert of the Philharmonie de Paris

On 11 June 2026, Mojca Lavrenčič took the podium at the Grande salle Pierre Boulez of the Philharmonie de Paris – at the gala concert of the Orchestre de Paris under Klaus Mäkelä, as laureate of the conducting competition La Maestra 2026.

With the Orchestre de Paris, she conducted excerpts from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, including the "Dance of the Knights" with its unmistakable force. Mäkelä led the rest of the evening: Schumann's Violin Concerto with Isabelle Faust, Tchaikovsky's Fantasy Overture, and chansons by Benjamin Biolay.

It is a particular joy for us that Mojca was part of this evening. La Maestra is one of the most prestigious platforms for female conductors worldwide, and an appearance at a house of this standing speaks for itself.

We congratulate Mojca wholeheartedly and look forward very much to the coming season with her.
