Mastery and Sensitivity

On October 18 and 19, 2025, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tobias Ringborg, invited audiences to two exceptional concert experiences at the Eurogress Aachen. At the center of attention was the acclaimed cellist Raphaela Gromes, who brought new life to works by Maria Herz and Max Bruch. With technical brilliance and emotional depth, she captivated the audience and turned the evening into an unforgettable musical experience.
“Gromes explored the emotional range of the work with technical mastery, stylistic sensitivity, and heartfelt passion — an ideal invitation for her colleagues to perform this fascinating piece more often.”
“Earlier in the evening, she showcased her warm and refined cello tone to great effect in Max Bruch’s well-known rhapsody on Hebrew themes, Kol Nidrei.”
