Julian Rachlin, an internationally renowned musician, will join the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz as its Artistic Partner, starting from the 2025-2026 season. As a violinist and conductor, or in the dual role, he will shape a total of 15 concerts with the orchestra.

The programs that are developed with his involvement reflect his artistic versatility and interpretative depth. In the concerts, Rachlin will be present both as a violin soloist, as a conductor, and also in the dual role. The range of works spans from classical to late romantic music. Collaborations with other soloists, as well as an interdisciplinary project with a dance company, are also part of this artistic partnership.

Julian Rachlin: “The artistic partnership with the Staatsphilharmonie gives me the opportunity to work long-term with an orchestra that combines openness with artistic ambition. In the programs we develop together, I am particularly interested in contrasts—between epochs, sound colors, and roles on stage. I look forward to the encounters with the audience and experiencing familiar works in new contexts.”
