On July 3, 2025, pianist Alexander Gadjiev presented an extraordinary solo recital as part of the Ludwigsburg Palace Festival in the Ordenssaal of the Residenzschloss. His program spanned a wide stylistic range from Beethoven to Mussorgsky, offering the audience an impressive concert experience.

Ludwig van Beethoven – Four Bagatelles from Op. 126
Frédéric Chopin – Three Mazurkas from Op. 63, 6 & 24
Claude Debussy – Four Préludes from Book II
Alexander Scriabin – Three Études from Op. 42 & 8
Modest Mussorgsky – Pictures at an Exhibition

"Everything sounds so immediate and direct, as if it were being created in the very moment, with every musical material manifesting through him – and at the same time, deeply and intelligently analyzed. With closed eyes, he listens inwardly, purses his lips, and savors the contrasts and turns inherent in Beethoven’s symphonically inflected late style. His use of rubato serves purely to enhance expression, with nothing affected or mannered about it."

July 5, 2026, Harry Schmidt, LKZ

"In summary, it was an evening that allowed the audience to get to know a young artist with a truly interesting personality – entirely free from any showmanship in his stage presence, and wholly dedicated to uncovering the deeper meaning of the musical score."
