Valer Sabadus Enthralls in Bonn and Freinsheim
On 8 November 2025, countertenor Valer Sabadus, together with pianist Akemi Murakami, presented the program “Auf Flügeln des Gesanges” in the chamber music hall of the Beethoven House in Bonn, followed by another concert on 9 November at the Von-Busch-Hof in Freinsheim. The program included songs and arias spanning several centuries – from Henry Purcell to Gustav Mahler – performed in various languages. The two artists impressed with an interplay meticulously attuned to one another, marked by mutual attentiveness and a carefully shaped dramaturgy of the program.
In Die Rheinpfalz, Inge Kirsch wrote on 19 November 2025:
“Even without costume or props, he vividly portrays characters and emotional states not only through his singing but also through gestures, facial expressions, and body language. This allows listeners to engage even more deeply. The connection with the audience was there from the very beginning!”
