Thibaut Garcia Delights in Trio Performance at the Rheingau Music Festival

On August 7, 2025, Thibaut Garcia performed a special trio concert at the sold-out Metternich Hall of Schloss Johannisberg as part of the Rheingau Music Festival. Alongside violinist Jordan Victoria and cellist Anastasia Kobekina, he presented works by Paganini, Granados, de Fossa, Boccherini, Villa-Lobos, J. S. Bach, and Piazzolla. This marked Garcia’s fifth concert as this year’s focus artist of the festival.

In the Wiesbadener Kurier on August 9, 2025, Volker Milch wrote:

On François de Fossa: Trio No. 1 in A minor, Op. 19: “Garcia notes that the Beethoven contemporary sounds more like Haydn or Mozart, and thus comes 50 years ‘late,’ which is typical for guitar music. But here, he and his friends clearly enjoy the spontaneity of playing together.”
