Ovation for Julia Lezhneva and Valer Sabadus in Ludwigsburg

On 16 March, Julia Lezhneva and Valer Sabadus, accompanied by the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra under the musical direction of Shunske Sato, were guests at the Ludwigsburg Forum. The programme included works by the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and, as the crowning finale, Vivaldi's ‘Paradisi Gloria’ as an encore. The press was enthusiastic: ‘Lezhneva's tremendously expressive soprano, in which every note shines in its own aura, contrasts with Sabadus’ soft timbre, but the two voices harmonise in their emphasis...‘ “At the end is the ”paradisi gloria’, the ‘glory of paradise’, which is cheerfully evoked by both and all the orchestral voices.
