Julien Chauvin Acclaimed with the Kammerphilharmonie Ingolstadt
On 15 October 2026, Julien Chauvin performed with the Kammerphilharmonie Ingolstadt in the Festsaal of the Stadttheater Ingolstadt. As soloist, conductor and concertmaster, he presented a programme featuring works by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Stamitz, Jean-Marie Leclair, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. He also performed as soloist in Haydn’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in G major.
In the Donaukurier of 17/18 October 2026, Katharina Stork wrote:
“The Frenchman Julien Chauvin is one of the leading exponents of historically informed performance practice.”
“There is such a strong sense of unity in phrasing, breathing and musical expression, as if they all performed together regularly on stage.”
“Only when technical perfection and passionate inner expression come together, as they do with Julien Chauvin, does true music emerge.”
