"Gadjiev's playing makes the impossible possible on the piano" (FAZ)
On October 30, Alexander Gadjiev made his debut at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. The debut could not have been more successful: “As if Gadjiev wanted to musically emphasize the question of the transcendental and the unrepeatable, he gives the triple repetition of the theme head in Beethoven's Eroica Variations op. 35 such an unruly independence that it refuses to submit to Beethoven's supreme discipline of motivic thematic variation. The music's requiem is also celebrated musically: Gadjiev's playing makes the impossible possible on the piano.” Read the entire review in the FAZ here.
