As part of her residency, Lisa Batiashvili presented an interesting programme together with Jörg Widmann (Composer in Residence), Denis Kozhukhin, Tsotne Zedginidze and members of the Berliner Philharmoniker in the Chamber Music Hall of the Berliner Philharmonie on 10 April 2020.
The programme included Jörg Widmann's "Tears of the Muses", Tsotne Zedginidze's "Sonata for Violin and Piano" and Claude Debussy's "Sonata for Violin and Piano in G minor":

"Then he [Tsotne Zedginidze] interprets his violin sonata, written in 2021, with Batiashvili, motorically concise and dance-like. Batiashvili fully exploits the possibilities of the piece with her beautiful, characteristically singing line in both low and high registers. In Claude Debussy's Sonata in G minor for violin and piano, too, her technique is the centre of attention, with which she unerringly aims for the top notes in the highest registers and holds them until they fade away." (Tagesspiegel, 12.04.2024, Udo Badelt)

[Zedginidze, Violinsonate]: „Although short, the piece gave both performers the chance to prove their technical skills and chemistry, thanks to the alternation of solo sections and moments of taut exchange between the two instruments.“ (Bachtrack, 12.04.2024, Elena Luporini)

[Debussy, Violinsonate in g-Moll]: „Her [Lisa Batiashvilis‘] clear, cantabile phrasing had a sensual quality that was mostly enhanced when she ventured in the low register, her legato nothing short of mesmerising. During the more animated second movement, she and Kozhukhin maintained a refreshing lightness and agility.“ (Bachtrack, 12.04.2024, Elena Luporini)

"It is a stroke of luck that the two performing musicians are able to elicit multi-coloured tones from their instruments: Batiashvili and Widmann are undisputed masters of tone colour, dynamics and musical pulse." (klassik-begeistert.de, 11.04.2024, Sandra Grohmann)

"Her unique violin tone not only makes the air vibrate, but the souls. With the G minor violin sonata by Debussy following Zedginidze, she takes musical bliss to the extreme together with the wonderful Denis Kozhukhin." (klassik-begeistert.de, 11.04.2024, Sandra Grohmann)
