Julia Lezhneva with the Berlin Philharmonic

Julia Lezhneva was a guest with the Berliner Philharmoniker on 9, 10 and 11 March. Handel's oratorio "Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno" (HWV 46a) was performed under the direction of Emmanuelle Haïm. In this musical argument, "il Disinganno" (knowledge - Iestyn Davies) and "il Tempo" (time - Anicio Zorzi Giustiniani) try to convey the true values of life to the beautiful and frivolous "Bellezza" (beauty - Elsa Benoit) and to renounce the "Piacere" (pleasure - Julia Lezhneva).
