On 25th May 2022, Julia Lezhneva and the Concerto Köln were guests at the Schwetzinger SWR Festspiele. With arias and works by Johann Christian Bach, Ignaz Holzbauer, Georg Joseph Vogler, Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the musicians gave the Schwetzingen audience a musically impressive evening.

Some press quotes:

On the interpretation of Handel's "Lascia la spina cogli la rosa": "But the purity of the timbre, the calmness of the voice, the soulfulness and also the ability to model Handel's basically childishly simple melody and to carry it on in an exciting way - it is nothing less than a top class." (Mannheimer Morgen, 27.05.2022, Stefan M. Dettlinger)

"Under the dynamic and emphatically urgent sound of Concerto Köln, Lezhneva swings up quickly to top notes, but also shows enough volume in the depths of the upper small octave to stand up to the blazing of the orchestra." (Mannheimer Morgen, 27.05.2022, Stefan M. Dettlinger)

"Bach symphonies fall in the same period and are played - without conductor - agilely and lively, all instrumental groups listen to each other well, are extremely present and, for example the attacking cellos, intervene actively speaking into the action." (Mannheimer Morgen, 27.05.2022, Stefan M. Dettlinger)
