Chouchane and Astrig Siranossian Impress with Brahms’ Double Concerto
On April 15 and 17 in Konstanz, April 16 in Weingarten, and April 18 in Singen, violinist Chouchane Siranossian performed together with her sister, cellist Astrig Siranossian, interpreting the Double Concerto by Johannes Brahms. They were accompanied by the Bodensee Philharmonie under the direction of its chief conductor Gabriel Venzago.
In an article in Südkurier dated April 20, 2026, Johannes Fröhlich wrote:
“Following this, the highlight of the evening: the French-Armenian sibling duo Chouchane and Astrig Siranossian (violin and cello) proved to be a world-class ensemble in Johannes Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Violoncello. Two instruments that blend perfectly in sound, immensely powerful and virtuosic, with a passion rarely seen or heard.“
“The Vivace in the third movement was dreamlike in its beauty, lively in pace, leaving one wishing the two sisters would never stop playing.”

“The true highlight of the concert came with Johannes Brahms’ Double Concerto in A minor and the two soloists Astrig and Chouchane Siranossian.”
”Violin and cello circle each other, intensify, engage in heated exchanges, only to merge again in the next moment. An almost intuitive understanding shapes every phrase.”
