Rossini CD by Tal & Groethuysen & the Bavarian Radio Choir

New and now available in stores: The piano duo, Tal & Groethuysen's latest CD with the Petite messe solennelle by Gioachino Rossini released on April 11th, 2014

An excerpt from the review by the Süddeutsche Zeitung in their June 16th, 2014 issue in regards to the CD:

"[...] With its two-piano and harmonium accompaniment, this [Petite messe solennelle] is considered one of the most unusual musical scores of the Latin mass. Many performances of this late work from 1863 are, due to practical reasons, limited to one piano in addition to harmonium (which is used only in select passages). Tal & Groethuysen demonstrates how mistaken this is and how much more dialogue, depth and strength is created through the use of two pianos. […]"
