Julia Lezhneva - La Voce Strumentale - Dmitry Sinkovsky at the Innsbrucker Festwochen - "The fireworks of virtuosity"

Julia Lezhneva's debut at the Innsbruck Festwochen together with La Voce Instrumentale and Dmitry Sinkovsky in the sold-out Riesensaal of the Hofburg turned out to be a festival with never-ending frenetic applause. Read for yourself how enthusiastically the press writes about the concert:

The Tiroler Tageszeitung titled on 27.8.2019

"In the fireworks of virtuosity"

"She is one of the most conspicuous soprano talents and two years ago overtook the competition with her Graun CD. On Sunday the Russian Julia Lezhneva, celebrated as a vocal miracle, was a guest at the Innsbrucker Festwochen. And with Dmitry Sinkovsky and his ensemble La Voce Strumentale she chose spectacular partners... Her agility in the passage work, the dynamic flexibility and uniformity of the scales, the combination of technique, discipline and vocal security with the preservation of clarity and sound of the voice are phenomenal and indeed remind one of the descriptions of the vocal arts in the High Baroque. Julia never forgets what she sings and also reaches her listeners with her emotionality." Read the whole review.

The Kronen Zeitung writes about the Innsbruck concert

"A highlight of the Festwochen"

"This concert in the Riesensaal of the Hofburg was a highlight of this year's Innsbruck Festival: not only because of the simply phenomenal Julia Lezhneva, but also because of Dmitry Sinkovsky and his ensemble La Voce Strumentale.

Julia Lezhneva, the petite Russian, masters the breakneck coloraturas seemingly effortlessly. However, she is not a trained little bird, but a strong personality: she makes every aria her own, sounds out the pressure content and also finds touchingly soft tones...". (Franz Gratl)
