World-class concert with Valer Sabadus and the Venice Baroque Orchestra in Kiel

This year, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival has dedicated itself to the theme of Venice. On 19 July, Valer Sabadus and the Venice Baroque Orchestra performed a homage to Antonio Vivaldi, the ‘red priest’, in the sold-out Petruskirche in Kiel. The audience and press were enthusiastic, the Kieler Nachrichten newspaper spoke of a ‘world-class concert’ and praised the soloist and the orchestra in equal measure. The Venice Baroque Orchestra had already performed Vivaldi's ‘Four Seasons’ in Hasselburg on 17 July and in Meldorf on 18 July. In addition, there was the world premiere of commissioned modern ‘Four Seasons’ by contemporary composers David Bruce, Bo Wiget, Benjamin Scheuer and Wolf Kerschek - an exciting project! The conductor was Massimo Raccanelli, the other soloists were saxophonist Asya Fateyeva and Avi Avital, mandolin. These concerts were also sold out and were celebrated by the audience.
