Why Raphaela Gromes recorded Dvořák's Cello Concerto with the Ukrainian National Orchestra in Poland
"With Dvořák, the initial impulse came from me during the rehearsals (...). However, with 'Chervona Kalyna,' they toned down my lightness and virtuosity, explaining that it needed to be played with more gravity and strength, like a military march—because it's about survival. In the end, I performed it in a way that satisfied them. It was truly a vibrant cultural exchange."
