Raphaela Gromes takes over cello part from Mischa Maisky

Cast change on June 18 and 19, 2024 at the Wiener Konzerthaus

At the upcoming concerts of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Julian Rachlin on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 19:30 and Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 18:30 at the Wiener Konzerthaus, the award-winning cellist Raphaela Gromes will stand in for Mischa Maisky.
Maisky had to cancel his participation at short notice for health reasons.

“We are delighted that Raphaela Gromes has agreed to take over the cello part with an unchanged program,” said the Wiener Konzerthaus yesterday (Tuesday).

The audience can look forward to Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei op. 47, the Concerto for Cello and Orchestra No. 1 in A minor op. 33 by Camille Saint-Saëns and Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 in E flat major op. 55 “Eroica”.
