OTOBUTAI with Alexander Gadjiev
OTOBUTAI (‘sound stage’) is a festival that has been running since 1989. It brings renowned artists from various musical genres, often in combination with expressive dance, to a major temple in Japan, which changes every year, to merge Far Eastern and Western culture in a unique way. This year, on Sept. 7, the Buddhist Horyuji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in Ikaruga will be the stage for Alexander Gadjiev, who will play works by Debussy and Rachmaninov and improvise inspired by the gentle wind and the magic of the place. The concert starts at 08:00 p.m. will be broadcast by JNN.
Further information, including details of the other artists performing, can be found on the festival website.
