Lisa Batiashvili as guest at the Kissinger Sommer

On 17 June 2023 Lisa Batiashvili presented a diverse programme at the Kissinger Sommer with the young Georgian pianists Giorgi Gigashvili and Tsotne Zedginize. Both musicians are supported as scholarship holders of the Lisa Batiashvili Foundation.

[on Cesar Franck's Violin Sonata in A major]: "They began the second movement very pronouncedly, the violin almost gruffly, creating a wild and rousing dance. [...] The delicate opening bars in the 3rd movement, which really led into a tender Fantasia, and the Allegretto poco mosso of the 4th showed the great understanding and virtuosity of the two performers as well as their joy in playing together."
